The Vascular Lab

We have an accredited vascular lab on site. To be accredited, one must pass stringent standards set by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation Vascular Laboratories as well as performing a volume of specified laboratory examinations.


The non-invasive tests performed in our lab help determine the cause of symptoms like cold feet, unexplained pain or swelling in the legs or varicose and spider veins. We also screen for the presence of aortic aneurysm (AAA) or Carotid artery disease that can cause stroke if left undetected.

Vein Testing

The exam involves scanning the entire leg or arm, investigating both deep and superficial systems. Checking the entire system ensures competency of flow in the veins.

We Evaluate:

• Deep and or Superficial Vein Thrombophlebitis (DVT)
• Venous Insufficiency
• Incompetent perforators
• Symptomatic varicose veins

Arterial Testing

This test involves finding pulses, comparing blood flow in different arteries establishing blood pressures, and consistency of flow. An added exercise exam may help diagnose insufficiencies not seen while resting. An ultrasound to visualizing the artery internally is another component.

• Extremity peripheral arterial disease
• Arterial bypass grafts
• Post surgical evaluation
• Abdominal Aorta Aneurysms (AAA)
• Renal Arteries
• Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS)
• Dialysis Fistulas
• Claudication
• Raynaud's Syndrome

Carotid Artery and other Extracranial

Carotid and Vertebral and Subclavian artery ultrasound assessing any plaque or blood flow disturbance. See also Screening

We Evaluate:

• Cerebrovascular arterial disease
• Subclavian Steal Syndrome
• Post surgical evaluation
• Masses, aneurysms, injury of the carotid artery
